Keep those passports handy

Assuming that the NCAA does not grant us a bowl berth solely because of the Notre Dame victory, the football team is still "Homebound, eh?" The quest for the International Bowl will have to wait another year.

The road to Toronto, however, is not closed to the Orange. In fact, Syracuse has been invited to the Rogers Center, home of the International Bowl. They'll be playing there on December 7, 2008. They'll be playing in an NFL game.

This is all true.

I'm talking, of course, about the Syracuse University Marching Band. The Pride of the Orange will perform the halftime show when the Bills and Dolphins square off in Toronto. SU is apparently not content with just being New York's college team; now we're Canada's too.

Congrats to the SUMB. I'm glad that someone was able to make it across the border.
